The Shop & Gold
Gold is Embercraft's premium currency: you buy it for real, or earn it by playing, then spend it in the shop.
Can the shop be used to buy military power?
No. Gold buys no troops and no defenses. It earns you time and convenience: a resource boost (drawn from your own production), temporary bonuses to production / storage / construction, a few permanent perks, and the ability to finish a queue in one go. No brutal pay-to-win.
How you get Gold
- 💳By buying a top-up (secure real-money payment). The most popular pack: 10,000 Gold for €19.99.
- 🎁With the Welcome Pack, a one-time-per-account offer at a small price.
- 🏆By playing: daily rewards, quests, referrals and coming back after a break all give some for free.
Gold top-ups (real-money payment)
The bigger the pack, the more Gold you get per euro. Payment goes through a secure provider.
Resource boost (instant)
These items dump a stock of wood 🪵, stone 🪨 and wheat 🌾 calculated on X hours of your own production (so the higher your buildings, the more you get). Never Gold.
Royal edicts (temporary bonuses, 7 days)
Each edict lasts 7 days and applies to all your villages. You can't stack two of the same type: you have to wait for the active one to end.
Permanent upgrades (one-time purchase)
Instant completion
Finish a queue in your main village in one go: recruitment ⚔️, buildings 🏗️ or defenses 🛡️.
Frequently asked questions
Do the Cart and Chest always give the same amount?
No. The stock depends on your hourly production (sawmill, quarry and farm levels). The more developed your buildings, the higher the gain. And if a Fertility Edict is active, it boosts that gain too.
The "first purchase ×2" bonus — what does it apply to?
To the Supply Cart and the Royal Chest: the very first time you buy one, the resource gain is doubled. After that, it's the normal gain.
Why does instant completion cost me so much?
Its price is proportional to the time left on the queue (about 200 Gold per hour remaining, with no cap). On a queue spanning several days, it climbs fast. Best to use it when only a few hours are left.
Can I buy an edict or a permanent upgrade again?
Edicts (Fertility, Warehouses, Grand Works) can be bought again once they've expired, but not stacked while they're active. Permanent upgrades (Spies, Merchants, Expansion) are one-time purchases: once acquired, they're permanent.
