Not pay-to-winStrategy, not your wallet
A shop limited to convenience, protected beginners, fair progression. A free player can dominate their realm.
Play for free →The curse of browser strategy games is pay-to-win: paying to crush everyone else. Embercraft does the opposite. The shop exists, but it sells convenience only, never raw power — and several safeguards protect regular players.
What the shop does NOT sell
- 🚫No troops or resources that would make you unbeatable with a credit card.
- 🚫No buyable combat stats that would break the balance.
- 🚫No advantage that would stop a free player from reaching the top of the rankings.
What it does offer
Convenience and time-saving perks: extra production queues, a temporary production boost, cosmetics. Nice to have, never essential. Details on the shop & Gold page.
The safeguards that really matter
- 🛡️Beginner protection: no assault possible during your first days (see protection & anti-farm).
- ⬇️Anti-farm: a far stronger lord is not allowed to attack you.
- 🔁Anti-bashing: the number of attacks by one player on the same victim is capped each day.
- 👹PvE progression: incursion camps with guaranteed loot let you grow without relying on PvP.
Can a free player compete?
Yes. Progress rewards consistency and strategy, not your wallet. A smart free account can dominate its realm.
