Outposts & expansion
When your main village is running well, found outposts to produce more and hold more ground.
How do I found a second village?
Build the Embassy, recruit a Settler (50,000 🪵 · 30,000 ⛏️ · 10,000 🌾), then send it to a free holding on the Map. When it arrives, it founds your new outpost. Each Embassy level unlocks one more outpost.
How to found an outpost
- 🏛️Build the Embassy (Buildings section). Each level grants you one more outpost.
- 🧭Recruit a Settler in the Embassy section. It's the Settler who goes off to found the village.
- 🗺️Find a free holding on the Map and note its coordinates [Kingdom:County:Holding].
- 🚩Send the Settler to those coordinates. On arrival, it founds your outpost and disappears (it is consumed).
What an outpost is
- 🌱It starts with a small camp: 500 🪵, 300 ⛏️, 200 🌾 with the sawmill, quarry and farm already at level 1 — production runs right away.
- 🏗️You can only build the essentials there: production, warehouse, barracks and the Master Builders' Workshop. No Academy or other advanced buildings.
- 🛡️An outpost cannot launch attacks. It produces, defends itself and receives your reinforcements. Offensives always set out from the main village.
- 📦You can send it resources and troops from your main village via the Embassy, and recall them whenever you want.
The rules to know
Frequently asked questions
How many outposts can I have?
As many as your Embassy level: one outpost unlocked per level, up to 5 at the maximum level. A shop upgrade (Colonial Expansion) can add one more, for 6 in total.
What happens if someone takes the holding before my Settler arrives?
Nothing serious: your Settler turns around and comes back to the village without founding anything. You get it back and can send it elsewhere. Ideally, aim for a holding that's truly empty and not too contested.
If I abandon an outpost, do I get my resources and troops back?
No. Abandonment is permanent and immediate: everything on site (resources and troops) is lost, and the holding becomes free again at once. Remember to bring back what matters before abandoning.
Why can't my outpost attack?
Outposts are there to produce and expand your territory, not to wage war. All your offensives set out from the main village; an outpost takes the hits, defends itself and welcomes the reinforcements you send it.
