An Evony alternativeEvony's strategy, without the spending race
Build a city, raise an army from Guard to Titan, level a hero and conquer a shared map with your guild — free, in your browser, with zero pay-to-win.
Play for free →Evony hooked you on the fundamentals: building a city, training troops, leveling heroes and marching with your alliance. Embercraft keeps that whole loop in a persistent medieval world — and changes the rules that matter: it's completely free, runs in your browser with nothing to install, and power is never for sale.
Will an Evony player feel at home?
Yes. The loop you know is all here: grow your city, manage resources, level a hero, join a guild and conquer a shared map. The differences are deliberate: a medieval setting, browser play with no download, guaranteed-loot PvE to progress stress-free — and above all, zero pay-to-win. In Embercraft, wars are won with strategy, never with a credit card.
Everything you already know
You'll settle in fast. There's a city — here, a village — to grow building by building, resources to balance (wood, stone and wheat, still producing while you're offline), and an army to train, from the humble Guard up to the mighty Titan, backed by solid defenses. Like in Evony, you level a hero, push research through an academy, and play on a shared world map where you scout before you strike, attack, haul resources and settle outposts. Guilds round it all out with a shared bank, chat and coordinated assaults.
What Embercraft adds
Nothing to install, ever: the whole game runs in a browser tab, on PC or mobile, in six languages. Progression stays in your hands: PvE incursion camps pay guaranteed loot on every victory, so you can grow steadily at your own pace without depending on PvP. Your hero rides out on expeditions and returns with loot and equippable gear, a three-path talent academy plus research shape your playstyle, and every battle generates a detailed combat report so you learn from each clash. Rankings and records keep the competition alive.
No pay-to-win, no bait
Evony openly leans on spending as an accelerator; Embercraft makes the opposite bet. The shop sells convenience only — power is never for sale, so your ranking reflects your strategy, not your budget. Newcomers get three days of protection, a far stronger lord simply isn't allowed to crush you, and an anti-bashing rule stops any single opponent from hammering you over and over. And no misleading promises either: the screenshots on this page are exactly the game you'll be playing.
